Tec2Med Global Innovators Association is a non-profit organization created in 2023, to bridge Biomedical Engineers, Clinicians and overall biomedical technology inventors and enthusiasts in a global network designed to promote education, research and enterpreneurship. 

Tec2Med GIA is the official representant of the Tec2Med brand, which was created back in 2018 by 4 biomedical engineering students of NOVA School of Science and Technology, with the intention of bridging biomedical engineers and clinicians in a true ideation environment designed to bring up ideas which could save more lives worldwide. From 2018 to 2022, the brand was managed by the Núcleo de Biomédica da NOVA (NOVA Biomedical Engineering Students Group), which dinamized all the summits during that period. It was with the approval of the Group’s General Assembly, that Tec2Med got its independence.  

After 8 years of consistent growth, the brand organizes events, the Tec2Med Summits, in Portugal and Brazil. In 2025 the brand cofounded alongside Hospital de Amor de Barretos and Harena Inovação, major players in healthcare innovation in south america, a new ideation infrastructure of biomedical technology called CIIMEB – Center for International Innovation in Medicine and Biomedical Engineering.
